Athan brings a competitive background in junior, collegiate, and professional golf. As a junior, he worked directly with Jim McLean in Doral, building a strong instructional foundation. He began his collegiate career as a walk-on at Saint Leo University, a nationally ranked Division II program that later won an NCAA National Championship. He later transferred to Endicott College, where he earned CCC Golfer of the Year, PING All-Region, and Division III All-New England Player of the Year honors, serving as team captain and leading his team to the NCAA Division III Championship.

After competing professionally on the West Florida Golf Tour, a wrist injury led him to transition fully into coaching. Now a PGA Associate pursuing full PGA Membership, Athan works with juniors, recreational golfers, Division I–III collegiate athletes, and international professionals. He has worked with a rising Swedish professional competing on a European developmental pathway toward the DP World Tour.

He remains active competitively, playing in U.S. Open qualifiers, Mass Golf and NEPGA professional events. As Lead Instructor, Athan emphasizes strong fundamentals, structured development, and on-course performance to help players achieve measurable improvement at every level.
